Ann and Mike welcome all to their self catering Amroth Cottages at Furzewood Farm in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. The farmhouse and cottages sit high above the bay with spectacular views to the Gower and Caldey island.
The 9 acres of grounds around the cottages are very child safe and there is a Wendy House for little ones, a football goal post with net, and plenty of grassy areas for playing games and exploring the wildlife in the fields. You are also welcome to enjoy a dip in the Hot-Tub, a lovely meal in the Scandanavian BBQ House or you can just relax in the peaceful surroundings, enjoy a book, a glass of wine and overlook the sea and the beach.
We have a Table Tennis table in an outbuilding, a couple of Skateboards and there are bats and balls for a game of Cricket and Croquet, which can be played on the lawn. We also have some tennis rackets and soft balls for playing with on the lawn. There are fishing nets and buckets and spades, which you can borrow to take to the beach.
We have sadly just said good-bye to our old pony, Jim, but we have goats (Sally and Harriet) who love sliced apples and banana skins!!, 3 chickens, 2 ducks (Jessica and Sebastian), 2 cats (Hannah and Hermon) all of which are friendly and a very friendly rescue dog, called Asti.
The local unspoiled Blue Flag sandy beach is just 4 minutes walk down the hill, offering safe play, swimming and rock pools galore. At low tide it is possible to walk along the beach to Saundersfoot.
The 178 mile Pembrokeshire coast path starts (or ends!) in Amroth. There are three pubs , a restaurant , café and a grocery/gift shop along the sea front.
Next to Amroth Cottages is the wooded valley of Colby House (National Trust) and Woodland Gardens with lots of good walking for dogs, and owners and areas for children to swing on ropes, build dens, go pond dipping, duck race on the stream or build a camp fire.
We are graded with 5 Stars by Visit Wales.
The holiday cottages are open all year and can be booked for short breaks or weekends during the winter months.

“People thought we were mad having a break in November. How wrong they were! Gorgeous cosy cottage with log fire, spectacular sunsets and wonderful walks on the deserted beach. It has been wonderful, thank you for making us so comfortable.”
